PTSB was founded by Sandra Ladd, PT in 1987. Over the years, the practice has grown and evolved to offer expanded services to the Southern Vermont and New Hampshire areas as well as North-central Massachusetts. All patients are evaluated by an experienced, licensed Physical Therapist and under the appropriate circumstances patients will be treated in a team environment with a highly trained Physical Therapy Assistant. We have worked hard to develop and maintain close relationships with area Medical Doctors, Physician’s Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Osteopaths, Chiropractors and Dentists by communicating consistently and effectively with all of our referral sources. Physical Therapists in Vermont have Direct Access - this means that patients can be seen by a Physical Therapist without having a referral unless their insurance requires a physician’s referral (Medicare & Medicaid beneficiaries must be referred).

We recognize that in today’s health insurance climate that having insurance coverage by no means makes treatment accessible and affordable. In an effort to make access to our skills universal we are now offering a discount for payment at the time of treatment if we do not have to submit a claim to an insurance company.

If you opt not to use or do not have insurance you do not need a referral to be seen. We charge $25 per 15 minute unit with an initial evaluation being a minimum charge of $100 (it will be a full hour) - please call or email for more details.
